Spotlight Sports Group has named Adam Gill as its new chief technology officer, with the appointment taking effect on 2 June. Gill joins the London-based company from market research firm Savanta to direct technology and engineering operations.
In his new role, Gill will oversee software development and manage technical teams across the group. He will also lead the organization’s artificial intelligence adoption program, focusing on systems that expand audience reach and optimize data workflows. Gill highlighted the company’s established market position and plans to apply his background in data-driven sectors to support Racing Post as it approaches its 40th anniversary.
Technology Investment and Product Roadmap
Chris Duncan, chief operating officer, noted that Gill’s expertise will guide upcoming investments in consumer and retail offerings. The leadership change aligns with the group’s 2026 Racing Innovation strategy, which launched two algorithm-based tools in January. Smart View Tipping Feed and Racing Bet Builder were introduced to provide operators with automated engagement features and streamlined betting interfaces.
Earlier this year, Spotlight Sports Group outlined its product development plan to enhance data-driven solutions for racing audiences. B2B managing director Sam Houlding stated that the January releases build upon the existing Smart View platform to deliver structured guidance for users. These product updates precede Gill’s arrival and form part of the company’s ongoing technical expansion.
