Croatia will direct €214 million from gambling revenue toward public interest initiatives this year. Chief State Treasurer Danijela Stepić confirmed the allocation, noting a substantial increase over the previous funding cycle.
Treasury Distribution Framework
The State Treasury has received formal authorization to manage the transfer of gaming operator contributions. The current allocation raises the total by approximately €84 million compared to the €130 million distributed during the prior period. Treasury officials will oversee the disbursement process to ensure funds reach designated social programmes. The updated funding model takes effect for the current fiscal cycle. Legislative adjustments shifted a larger share of the gambling levy toward state-supported welfare projects. The reallocation establishes a new baseline for public interest financing through regulated gaming revenues.
